Alla Prima - Working in Layers

Join us for this class looking at 'alla prima', or working wet on wet.  Beginners often complain that oil paints 'go muddy'.  Under the expert tuition of professional artists Cassandra Batterby & John Rotherham you will learn about layering oil paint, initially using black and white pigments.  This is a brilliantly simple way of getting to grips with working one wet layer over another, and gaining experience choosing which brush for the right paint stroke.  The session will build your confidence in painting with oils, and will transform the way you look at a painting.
