Bowland Atelier has been the fine art studio of professional artists Cassandra Batterby and John Rotherham since 2013. A calm, creative space nestled in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley, Lancashire, dedicated to the pursuit of representational drawing and oil painting using traditional 19th century techniques.

Since the studio opened, Cassandra and John have naturally expanded from sales of their original artwork and bespoke commissions and they now also offer a range of art classes and courses.

You are invited to visit the studio anytime, without obligation, to chat to John and Cassandra about their work and artistic processes, which they put at the heart of their teaching.  If you are undecided about which art class to choose, you can always request a taster session. We also have gift vouchers available, a personalised letter from the artists that comes beautifully packaged to make the perfect gift.

If you would like to take an art class or arrange a visit to Bowland Atelier please get in touch.  When planning your visit we kindly ask that you call ahead, to ensure we are on site to welcome you. Alternatively, you are invited to 'drop-in' to one of our 'Open Art Surgeries' on the 1st Saturday of each month, details of which can be found HERE.
